Your Way Out

The purpose of this letter is to sharpen the way that we help each other. The bible says, “But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.” 1 Corinthians 10:13B. In light of that, some questions for you:

1. When you help people, do you offer them a way out (a righteous and level path ushering them into God's favor)?

2. Do you enable them to stand up under it (securing them in their Scriptural footing in accordance with their faith; demolishing whatever pretensions they may have while being aware of the schemes of Satan)?

The bible, in Isaiah 7:9b, says: “If you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all...”

3. Do you see to it that they understand (really understand) what you have told them? Perhaps a quick recap or summary to make sure that they really do get it. You could say, “Prove it to me that you understand.”

In summary, we can provide a way out and enable them to stand up under it
