That's A Good Trial
That's A Good Trial
Recently I have been telling myself the phrase, “That's a good trial,” when I encounter hardship or difficulty.
For example, I recently bought a trailer and one of the lights was out. It could be the bulb or an electrical problem. Either way, I have to figure it out and fix it. Rather than being annoyed that I have to deal with this, I told myself, “That's a good Trial!”
I will not be bothered by this. The bible in Romans 12:2 says, “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
In hardships, whether big or small, it would serve some of us well to utter the phrase, “That's a good trial.” After all, the standard of the bible is to delight in our hardships (2 Corinthians 12:10), going as far to say that we should consider it pure joy (James 1:2).
We have to contend for our faith that the bible holds out for us.
