No Cheating

I am going to rant for a little bit. I do this from time to time.

Lately, I look at my brothers and I don't see consistency. I don't see it. Who is reliable? Who is up for more of the bible? If you are not reliable, then the bible would not have us entrust more to you. Paul said to Timothy, “And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others.” 2 Timothy 2:2.

As disciples we should be the same yesterday, today and forever, like Christ (Hebrews 13:8), and be prepared in season and out of season (2 Timothy 4:2). We are sinning out. We are late. We are sloppy. We are not doing what we say we would do. Our trail of sin following behind us will eventually come crashing down on our heads. 1 Timothy 5:24.

Our brotherhood must understand what it means to compete in accordance with the rules-- the rules of the bible. 2 Timothy 2:5.

NO CHEATING.

I wrote briefly on it last Tuesday. Why are our brothers in deliberate sin? Why have we given up? We have to unwind our lives and answer the questions: “How did I get here?” and “What sins have I committed to end up here?”

We are choosing to let go of verses like, “So then, those who suffer according to God's will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good.” 1 Peter 4:19.

If God feeds us hardship we should eat it right? Endure it as discipline. Hebrews 12:7.

“Beware of turning to evil, which you seem to prefer to affliction.” Job 36:21.

“Is it not from the mouth of the Most High that both calamities and good things come?

Why should any living man complain when punished for his sins?

Let us examine our ways and test them, and let us return to the LORD.

Let us lift up our hearts and our hands to God in heaven, and say:

‘We have sinned and rebelled and you have not forgiven.’” Lamentations 3:38-42.

“You were running a good race. Who cut in on you and kept you from obeying the truth?” Galatians 5:7.

Like I wrote on Tuesday, my appeal for us is to stop building more flimsy walls. No more white wash. No more sloppy, haphazard shortcuts, or CHEATING.

We all should know by now that the only way to build is excellently. Otherwise it comes crumbling down, or is burnt to a pile of ash. We all know what that is like. We are a bunch of burnt pieces of bacon.

I love you all.
